Athlete and Coach
Jackee has more than 20 years of experience in Artistic Swimming, formerly known as Synchronized Swimming, as an Athlete and Coach. Since 1998, Jackee has competed across Canada and internationally representing her home province of Ontario. As an athlete, she claimed many championship titles including Gold medal at 2006 Winter Games in Combo event, 2012 and 2013 Senior Solo Champion and most recently earned the top spot in Orlando, FL USA at 2018 Pan Am Masters Championships where she was a member of the Gold medal team in Tech and Free events.
In 2011, Jackee began her coaching career and she has trained athletes of all ages and levels to many podium finishes and championship titles in Figures, Solo, Duet and Team. In 2016, her soloist won Gold at Central Regionals as well as Hilton Worldwide Invitational in the 16-20 event and that same year her 11-12 Novice team captured Bronze at Competitive Novice Routine Meet. Jackee was named 2018’s Synchro Swim Ontario Coach of the Year and that season her 13-15 Provincial team claimed many of the top 6 podium finishes at different meets across Ontario including the Silver medal at Waterloo Routine Invitational. Jackee was a member of the OAS’s 2019 Provincial Team Coaching Staff and she was the Assistant Coach to Team Ontario 11-12 High Performance (HP) and Development (DT) teams that won Gold (Team Ontario 11-12 HP Team) and Silver (Team Ontario 11-12 DT Team) medals at SYNC 2019 in Gatineau, Quebec in Canada. Jackee has worked as a Recreational Program Coordinator, a Publicist and Sports Writer covering Artistic Swimming. She had one of her articles printed on the cover page of Sport in Aurora Magazine and she also wrote the Flexibility & Extension Exercises for Synchro Swim Ontario Trillium Awards Manual in 2012 that continues to be used across Ontario today. Jackee is a Competition Development NCCP Certified Coach (National-Level Coach) and trains athletes in the Provincial and National stream.
What Jackee enjoys most about being a coach is working with young athletes not just on synchro skills but also life skills. She takes pride in seeing her athletes succeed and reach their full potential both in and out of the water.
